♠ Personality -
Hob'ka has spent more than half her life in a bed, and this has resulted in two things.
The first is her enthusiasm, she isn't afraid to seize everything and anything she sees and will often act long before she has a chance to think. She is not so much fearless, but rather she doesn't consider the dangers she may face until it's too late, and even if somebody were to attempt to stop her, she would have trouble understanding their concerns. Curious and loves to explore both inside and out (but especially out) while collecting many strange and pretty items she sees, most of which make their way into the jewellery she makes and wears. Hob'ka cares a lot for appearance and sees the beauty in other things, so she spends a lot of time grooming her long fur, but luckily isn't obsessed with it and loves to get down and dirty when the situation calls.

The second would be her naivety, she has quite little life experience and some things that many come as common knowledge can completely pass by her head, especially in social situations. She doesn't quite grasp simple things such as saying 'Hello' and 'Goodbye' and will often treat anybody has a close friend even if they've barely met. She will not worry about what other people think of her, nor whether what she's saying is appropriate in a certain situation, so anybody who may want to be her friend would have to have a lot of patience and understanding to stand her. Annoyingly and humorously, she is drawn towards the sort of cats who don't like strangers or making friends, rather unaware of this and just assuming that they are shy or lonely.

♠ History -
The Betrayed Mother
A pretty white persian - Uhina-Tex - became the servant of a rich, young, gentlemanly Siamese by the name of Fallard. The two click at once and within a week of they were planing of spending the rest of their lives together in harmony. The persian dreams on with the sort of endless optimism only a lowly servant could wield, until she gravely discovers - she was not the only one the charming Siamese had courted, he had made the same romantic promises to several other women. As soon as she found out, Uhina-Tex confronted her so-called lover, only to be fired and thrown to the streets moments later. It wasn't long afterwards she realised she was with kittens, and was somehow supposed to support them with no home nor job... But luck, alas, was on her side!
Soon after an elderly tavern owner and his kind wife stumbled across the poor girl, took her in and gave her a job, and she was overwhelmed with gratitude - she never asked for a drop of food more than her ration, and worked endlessly for as long as she could. And so 3 little kittens were born, two girls and a boy. Sadly, the boy was very weak and died within hours of his birth, and while one of the girls was strong from the get-go, the other one looked like it would follow after it's brother. However, she didn't, and she lived, albeit very sick, weak and bedridden. Her name was Hob'ka

The Lonely Childhood
Hob'ka spent the majority of her childhood lying in her bed underneath the tavern. She listened to the music play above her and the people chatter and they walked past. Some nights when she was alone, she attempted to rise up on her weak little legs and walk, but only moments later she would collapse to her feet and gasp for air. Her stronger sister, Pheobe, was a quiet soul who wished to learn about many kinds of magics, but was held up by helping her mother support their family. Uhina-Tex spent most of her life working and was rarely seen by her daughters, she was determined to give her children the best life she possibly could and not let them grow cold because of how they were brought up. In a way, she succeeded, as Hob'ka grew up naive to the dangers of the outside world, and never understood why her family were so down all the time.
Sadly, she never had any friends. Her mother did not trust young men near her daughters, which lead the tavern workers to believe she was contagious so they kept their distance, so for the most part her only company was Pheobe. She would often take Hob'ka in the wheelchair for walks around the countryside, and she loved to be outside more than anything. Whenever she found something that looked interesting she would beg her sister to let her take it back to her room, and over time she gathered quite a collection of interesting rocks, gems, plants, sticks and so on. In her many hours of spare time she would work away making them into body adornments, then let Pheobe sell them in the tavern. She never realised how much her little trinkets helped her family.

The Passing and the Miracle
Hob'ka was a few years old now, and her sickness was getting worse than ever. Her back legs were on the verge of dying, and arms and face were growing increasingly weak. After some time, she lost the ability to talk, as her coughing got so bad it scarred her throat. She was alone even more now, as Pheobe had travelled to a distant land to further her magic career. Her mother worked as hard as ever, but by this point she was struggling, as she had to say goodbye to one daughter and the other was dying before her. Then one night, she suddenly passed away from an illness she had been hiding for months. Hob'ka both confused and scared, she had never experienced death before in her life and didn't understand it.
Pheobe returned home and dreaded the thought of having to drop her dreams and look after her sister, but she didn't have a whole lot of choice if Hob'ka was to live. Then, Hob'ka came up with a very mature decision - she would give her life for her sister to live hers. At that time, she still had no idea what she was promising or the severity of it, but thankfully the sisters were saved when a stranger came to their door. Almost out the blue, he offered a spell that could help Hob'ka's illness, and they both agreed to it without a second thought... and it worked. Almost overnight many of her symptoms had healed, although the stranger had vanished before they could say thank-you.
While the sisters would never find out, the stranger was sent by their father. He had matured considerably and heavily regretted ruining so many lives in is youth, so he had promised to do what he could for each one of them. When he first heard of Hob'ka's condition, he began searching for a doctor experienced enough to cure her, and it seemed he had found one just in time.

The Second Chance
Within a few days, Hob'ka was healthier than she had ever been. For the first time in her life she went for a walk without somebody pushing behind her - finally she could experience the beauty and wonder of the world all by herself, and oh how she embraced it. She promised herself to make the most of her second chance, to live her life to the fullest and to never be afraid. She promised herself she would find somebody to who loved her, and she promised she would never let herself be held back ever again. Such promises seemed far-fetched, but she was filled with optimism. When she needed money, she used her crafting abilities to make jewellery, using natural materials she had collected during her travels. Over time she became extremely good, but never stayed in the same place long enough to build a reputation.
But of course, such freedom could not last forever. Suddenly Hob'ka found the world around her dying and crumbing, all the natural beauty being sucked out the land and it pained her to watch. With luck, she managed to flee the dangers, and found herself amongst a gang of refugees headed for safety.

Now (If she gets accepted)
She has been living in HighVale for two weeks now and growing restless as the realisation that she may be here for a long time, the rest of her life perhaps. She decided to pick up magic like her sister, although she still has a lot... well... everything to learn. With time, perhaps she will learn to think about her actions and become more rational, but perhaps also make some new friends and that 'special someone'...
♠ Hobbies -
- Collecting interesting objects (e.g. stones, roots) and making them into jewellery.
- Running and jumping about - she's quite an acrobat.
- Her knowledge of magic is basic, but was inspired by her sister to move into it, so whenever she can she likes to practice magic.
♠ Trivia -
- Since she recovered from her illness she has regained the ability to talk, however, her voice is very gruff. It would take anybody by surprise to see a pretty lady talking like a 50-year-old man. She doesn't like this, nor people pointing it out.
- She is sometimes afraid when she's sleeping, she doesn't like going to bed out of the fear that she won't be able to move when she wakes up. Some nights she dosen't sleep at all, or is haunted my nightmares.
- The blue stones on her necklace are said to be warm when somebody you love is near. Since they are always warm, she uses this to believe that her sister is alive and well somewhere. Of course, they are not actually magical, and are warmed up by her fur, but this is what she believes and nobody can convince her otherwise!
- Kinda jealous of other subreeds due to their more natural affinity to magic.
- Illiterate.

♠ RP Sample -
(Extract from my writing project, Cat-Run, I will replace this with a proper RP at a later date)
Beneath the canopy the rainforest was dank and dark, even without her poor eyesight Hayley would struggle across the brambles and roots and ferns that adorned the floor, tripping over at every few meters but thankfully regaining herself a few seconds later. Running was hard when there was no guarantee her feet would reach solid ground, when she had no idea whether they were swinging though air or pushing on land. The rainforest rung with creatures ribbiting and chirping away - she pushed herself and felt her chest tightening and her legs weakening, but was determined not to let her body get the best of her. By this point, her clothes were sweaty and stuck to her fur; and while it had stopped raining several minutes ago water was still dripping down though the layers of leaves that reduced the sky above to mere twinkles. It was all very dizzying, but she kept her eyes fixed firmly on Charlie a few paces in front of her.
The contrast between the two could not be more obvious, Charlie utilised his slim weasel body and at every single bend twisted is body to accommodate, while Hayley tumbled around struggling to stay upright. She could only watch in awe as she panted, while Charlie jumped though the forest with such grace, such security - he seemed to know where every branch, tree, leaf or rock was, and even seemed to be choosing a less practical path purely because he found it more entertaining. Of course, Hayley mused, he was raised in the forest, this is his home, so of course he knows the way. As she watched him expertly manuvre his feet and body with every step, his golden fur dotted with dollops of water, she couldn't help but feel a pang of jealously that she didn’t have such skill.
Once again, she found herself being swept up in her thoughts, and suddenly the ground below her snapped - she had stepped on and broken a root, which lead straight to a small cave in the ground. Suddenly the felt herself being plummeted into the wet dingy black cave, but it was a thankfully short fall ended by a pain in her bum. As she fell, she let out a squeak of a whelp, which caused Charlie’s ears to prick at once as abruptly stopped, and within a moment he had gone deathly still as he looked back at his companion. Hayley’s few seconds of pure fear were eased when she saw Charlie’s green eyes glint above her, so she breathed a sigh of relief while easing to her feet. The weasel lent her his hand and, for the first time she had seen, cracked a smile made of spiky, yellow teeth.
“You don’t want to stay in there.” he called with a hint of humour in the corner of his words. “Unless you want a snake to come out and eat’cha”.
♠ OCC Notes -
A doll face or 'Traditional' Persian is essentially a persian without the horribly mutated face - it seemed more appropriate for a 'wild' cat. Her snout does protrude, but is still quite short.
- I have listed her age as 4 years rather than 4 years and 5 months, this is because I can't easily edit the text and would rather not change it every edit. Hopefully this will be acceptable.
- Please bear in mind that I'm quite a shy RPer, one of the reason I join groups like this is so I can get more used to it.
- I'm not sure if I put the gauntlet on the right paw.
