There are a lot of trains still left in the half of Hoen controlled by pokemon. Although they can't be used like humans, they're still perfectly working, so can generally be powered by electic-type moves. At the end of the strip there was a shot of a pichu powering it, which I removed because it was on a page of it's own and my scanner takes ages. Of course, if a train breaks down for good - or the tracks or anything break, then the train's pretty much useless because they don't know how to fix it. Pokemon are inferior to humans and haven't learned the technical stuff. (Par Lou, of course)

There are also other things they salvage in this way. The collosuems, as we saw in the last comic, houses, as we'll see in the next comic. Even all cities have had humans chased out of and had pokemon moved into. Remember, it's based in the same world as Amizade, where pokemon have been shown to work perfectly alongside humans, it's just that Nakama takes place about 10 years earlier and the technology to have pokemon speak was still new.
