Personality. .
Sherlock is typically fairly chilled and timid. He likes to listen, and rarely interrupts people - more often than not he will sit in on a conversation uninvited. He is also very helpful and will usually do what people ask of him just to make them happy, although he isn't exactly a doormat. His temper is far from short, but when he does get angry, he get's angry, and will snap out at anybody who tries to get close to him.
History. .
This grass monkey's childhood was fairly standard, he was raised by his mother and elder brother in a small forest, food was hard to come by, but somehow their mother always had enough food to keep them from getting hungry, and the little family was content and secure bundled together every night. He had a yearning to explore away from his nest but ultimately stayed close to his family - he was very timid and fled at any sign of danger.

When he reached his adolescence, everything changed abruptly where a gang of pokemon attacks and raided their nest. They had been supplying their mother with food for the past year, and now they demanded payment - when she refused, a battle ensued. Sherlock ran as fast as he could, his brother and mother bought thought back against the gang, and both perished soon after.

Sherlock had been thrust into a world of danger and had to fend for himself. For a long time he was terrified, spent days hiding and growing hungry, and grieving for his family. He felt guilty for fleeing, although he knew if he had stayed he would probably have died to. Starvation pushed him to explore for food, and this eventually lead him to a small community who, while wary of the stranger, were happy to help him. Sherlock stayed here for a short while, making a few friends and learning to scavenge food, and soon made up for the town more than what they had given him. Eventually he felt he had to move on, and as he left he was gifted a bamboo staff to protect him.

Sherlock gradually became braver, he grew a passion for exploring and scavenging, and soon found he loved nothing more than running free across the deserts, climbing trees, and sleeping amongst the stars. He soon felt as though staying in the same place would be unbearable, and while me met many people on his journey, he never stayed with them. This life he had chosen was free and simple, but it was lonely, empty and meaningless. He longed for a life where he could travel with other people and actually do stuff to help, so when he heard of the patrol, he jumped right on board.
